At home, take a shower either the morning of your procedure or the evening before.
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING. If you forget and eat or drink something, tell the nurse immediately upon arrival at the Surgery Center. You may brush your teeth, but DO NOT swallow any water or toothpaste.
Please arrive one hour ahead of your scheduled appointment. When you arrive at Arizona Advanced Surgery Center, you will be greeted by our staff and accompanied to a private room to prepare for your procedure.
Bring a photo ID card(s).
Wear something comfortable and loose enough to fit over any dressing that may be applied during your procedure. Jogging suit or sweat clothes work very well. It should be either button up or zip up top.
Please leave all valuables such as jewelry and money at home.
Please do not wear make-up or contact lenses. Also avoid wearing mascara, perfume or lotions.
Family members and friends are welcome to wait in the reception area before and during procedure. (Children will be more comfortable if left at home.)
Please bring any records or forms your surgeon has given you concerning your surgery or post-surgical care.
If you have a distance to travel going home, bring along a pillow and blanket for the ride home.
Child patients may bring a favorite blanket or toy.
Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present in the waiting room at all times.
