After your surgery, you will be taken to one of the recovery areas where nurses will monitor your condition.
The length of stay after surgery is between 30 minutes and one hour, depending on the type of anesthesia and surgery. For longer surgeries, it may be necessary to stay a little longer.
A recovery nurse will help you prepare for the return home. Your doctor should have given you these instructions prior to the day of surgery.

To ensure your safe arrival at home an adult at least 18 years old MUST take you home. Your seatbelt should be worn at all times regardless of the type of surgery you had.
